What I Did With My Frame From Last Week

Happy Monday!

Last week I told you all about my new LOVE

Rub n Buff

and my beautiful frame......

I decided my sister needed my frame!

She liked what I did in my bathroom with all the mirrors.

And did the same thing on a huge wall in her bedroom.

See how cute this turned out.....
We added the frame up in the corner.

The goal is to find another little mirror to hang inside it.

I really like the way this turned out with all different
colors of frames around the mirrors!

Good job Little Sister!

And the huge wonderful mirror in the center.......
MINE

When I moved from my HUGE 2 bedroom condo,
with a loft to my 800 sq ft old farm house,
that mirror did not fit anywhere........

And my sister just came in my house and took it!

Just loaded it in her SUV and drove off into the sunset,
dust flying off her tires with a huge smile on her face..............

Beware Little Sister, beware........
wait till I go shopping in your house!

Empty Frames and TV Room

So just in case you hadn't heard it was really cold here last week.....
Enough with the whining, already!!!

Since I got 2 days off from work I did do some fun stuff around the house.
Did I mention I had no water last week....

I love this mirror but it just wasn't doing it for me......

Last summer on the way to Iowa my sister and I stopped in
Walnut,
Walnut Iowa

ANTIQUE HEAVEN!

Such a cute town, brick streets, and an antique store on every corner!
And THE nicest people in the world!

In one store we found all these old frames......
after some negotiations.....

We got them all for $20!
Even included the round one, ya, all!!

They all needed a lot on tender loving care!
Not to mention the old, moldy smell.
Thank goodness Colorado is dry so over time the smell fades away.

So what do you think?

And while we are on the subject.....

This is the room before:

The bed I was selling on Craig List last year.
The room was a child's room and it had red tile all over the floor.....
red, cold, like patio tile....
warm....?

I changed it into my TV, dollhouse room.

My house is only 800 sq ft, ya gotta be creative!

Just laid laminate right over the tile!
Worked out just fine!

Jute rug on sale a Sundance!
Score!!!

Love that rug!!!
Little stool Mom picked up for me.

Slanted house means the doors don't always stay open.....

Cute little door stop!

I have a ton of stuff I could have painted....

no water, means, no painting,
Did I mention I went 5 days with
NO WATER!?

My Rosemary Pot Make Over

Since it's winter I had to bring my Rosemary and Basil in the house.

The Basil didn't like the move and died.
Darn it - I love my sweet Basil!

I've been staring at this pot for months and I hate it......

So what do you do..........?

Find some burlap in the shed..........

A little bit of good ole Elmers,

add a little string.......

Ahhhhhhhh

More better!!!!

As a side note
Here in Colorado we have a saying,

"if you don't like the weather .....
wait a minute"

Friday it was 72 and today......
a whopping 14 below!!???

Jeeeezzzzzzz

I had to bring my old, man rooster in the mud room last night

No alarm clock needed this morning!!!!
Wow is he loud!

And More Door Knobs

More of my love for

Door Knobs!!!

I would love to tell you I made this.....but
I got in some catalog over 15 years ago!

I have never parted with it, I love it too much.

I have hung it my my kitchen, mud room, bedroom and now
it's in my bathroom.
I hang towels, yoga pants, t-shirts or whatever else I'm to lazy to put in the closet!

And this one I purchased at Paris Street!
A really cool antique outdoor market that comes around
the first weekend of every month during the summer!

It's in my pantry, it's covering up the original fuse box that
Mr. Electrician Man wanted way to much money to remove.
Gotta save $ somewhere!
And look you can't even tell!

Hanging Idea

I forgot this one yesterday.....

An old rake worked perfect to hang my beaters!

And why there is a clothes pin on one the the beaters
I don't know...?
Noticed it when I loaded the picture

Idea for hanging stuff!

I really like antique anything and everything!

I love antique kitchen utensils.

When people like me look at our stuff a hundred years
from now I think they will be very disappointed.
It's all plastic and has no character.

Hey, think of this,
What if plastic is no longer made a hundred years from now....
Hummmmm

Here's some of my stuff.....
A few of these were my Grandma's.

I wanted to hang them but wasn't quite sure how to do it.

So I went out to the barn and got some bailing wire
and wrapped it around the handles.

What do you think?
