House Make Over

I love to go into other people's homes and re-decorate them.

Sometimes I just do it without anybody asking......
say... I'm at your house for dinner and I use the restroom
I will move things around while I'm in there!
I can't help it.......people need my help.......
I know it......?

And sometimes people PAY me to do it!!

Enter, Babs, a new empty nester.
Both of her kids are off in the world and she moved from her
big home to a condo.

Babs is an antique, junk collector such as myself.....
So I knew this was going to be fun!!

Here's some random things we put together
around her home.

Look at this dresser, too cute!!!
This is the entry way,
and I didn't take a pictures looking in from the front door!
Bad blogger......
There is an awesome screen with a red frame
around it hanging on the wall.

Cute, cute kitchen!!
(nice, the cupboard door is open)

This is the dining area.
Sorry so dark.
They table and chairs she has are white.
We found a darker table at the big CK!
(my sister's consignment store, Cotton Kloset)
This room is next on my list, I mean Bab's list......

Now, in this photo.......can you pick what's wrong.......
Decorating 101......
Hanging things to high!!!!

Ahhhhhhh, more better!!!!!!

Do you love this mirror, or what!!??

Cute bathroom stuff!
That cabinet is metal!
Love it!!

Look at the planter holding the T-pee!!
How cute is that!!

And now for the bedroom!
Babs has so much great stuff, this was so fun!
Look at all the awesome stuff I found to hang on her walls!!!

That's her parents wedding photo inside that empty white frame.

And the shutters under the table to cover the cords!
I'm a genius......just saying.......

Look at this trunk.....it's fake, it's hollow!
But love the pink straps......

Changing lamps........

Look.....the chair from my last blog......
This view is looking in the bedroom from the door.

This is the extra bedroom we are still working on.....

I did get some pictures hung.
This is art work her kids made when they were younger.

More to come on the extra room,
and then we'll conquer this.........
Something has gotta go.......
We're working on it.........
baby steps with Babs, baby steps!!!!

  3. Hello Miss Genious!:))
I agree you are. I wish I could do that in others homes. I would have a blast, even better if I was allowed to paint as well. hehe. So many homes are so dark and gloomy and many have pretty things but they diseapeare into the nick nack abyss.
Even if I know how to it would be fun to see what you would have done in my home. :)
Important pst! Huge give away in my blog. You are most welcome to join.
    Hugs ans kisses.:)

  7. I laughed out loud reading your post. I thought I was the ONLY ONE who resisted the urge to move the furniture around in other people's houses! I am always mentally rearranging my surroundings...I can't help it, it's a compulsion. There's probably a 12 step support group out there for me but I really don't want to be cured!
